HOPKINSVIL­LE, Ky. — Lula Mae Johnson Walton,

97, of Hopkinsvil­le, Ky., died at 7:30 p.m., Friday, November 5, 2021, at her home. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at St. Bartholome­w Catholic Church in Little Rock, Ark. Dogwood Funerals and Cremations of Hopkinsvil­le is in charge of arrangemen­ts. A native of Little Rock, Ark., she was born on March 26, 1924, the daughter of the late Will Johnson and Necie Daniels Johnson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Turner Walton; her sons, Booker T. Walton and Robert Edward Walton; her daughter, Alice Walton Wallace; and her siblings, Thomas Johnson, Willie Ed Johnson, Napoleon Johnson, and Lilith M. Johnson. She was a school teacher L.W. Sullivan High School in Little Rock, Ark., from 1949-1955. She was also a Housing Project Manager for the Housing Authority in Little Rock. She was a member of St. Bartholome­w Catholic Church in Little Rock, a 4th Degree Regalia Knights of Peter-Claver Ladies Auxiliary, and graduated with a B.A. from Philander Smith University in Little Rock. Survivors include her son, Albert Charles (Dionne) Walton of Hopkinsvil­le, Ky.; her daughters, Betty Valentine of Hacienda Heights, Calif.; and Sally Rowe of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; 15 grandchild­ren; and several great-grandchild­ren.
