departed this life on October 29th, 2021.

During Ann’s early years she was a second-grade school teacher at Forest Heights Elementary School.

She later worked for Doctor’s Everett McClintock and Clark Gillespie.

She found a love in helping cancer patients and their families. Ann was fundraisin­g chairman of “Carti”. She served as President and on the board. She started “Tux and Trees”, and Hope Lodge where she served as President and Chairman and was an active member until she became a sustaining member.

Ann was President of Trinity Episcopal Woman’s church group at one time and was an active member.

She was fundraisin­g chairman of the original “YWCA” in downtown Little Rock.

Ann was owner of “Ann Walton’s”, a dress shop for eight years until it’s closing.

She enjoyed playing bridge at Presbyteri­an Village where she lived for six years. She also enjoyed being with her friends she had known since she was young called “The Dogs”.

Survivors include a daughter, Rebecca Ann Ward of Little Rock; a son, Eugene Garrison Villareal (Sara), of Hot Springs; three grandchild­ren, known to them as “Annie”, Zachary Villareal, Jonathan Lareau (Jess), and Justin Lareau (Mallory); two great-grandchild­ren, Olivia and Gregory Lareau; sister-in-law, Jean Chandler; three nieces and one nephew; and her ever loving dog, “Lacy”.

Her family would like to give special thanks to Anita Patterson, her caregiver, and Arkansas Hospice for the love and support they gave to her and her family the last weeks of her life.

The family requests any memorials be made to “Carti” or Trinity Episcopal Cathedral.

A graveside service and burial will be held on November 17 at 1 p.m. by Rest Hills in North Little Rock and Trinity Episcopal Cathedral. Arrangemen­ts are under the direction of RuebelFune­ralHome.com.
