BENTON — Ruth Elizabeth Pearson,

-

was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, friend, and artist. She passed away suddenly on November 9, 2021, at the age of 75.

She was born to Arrie Franklin Landreth and Lillian Ruth (Summerville) Landreth on December 26, 1945. Liz met the love of her life, James Carroll Pearson, and they ran away together to elope in high school. They were lovingly married for 59 years. They had three children together, Vicki, Jimmy, and Susan. Liz loved spending time cooking for friends and family. She welcomed everyone into her home with open arms, making sure all felt loved and left well fed. She was a skilled artist, making true art out of any medium, paint, pencil, flowers, or glass. She enjoyed spending time in nature, camping, hiking, and traveling with family, or enjoying her own slice of heaven, her immaculate home where she created an oasis of flowers and gardens. Above all else, she loved her family. Liz was a kind soul. Selfless. One of a kind. She was adored by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, James Carroll Pearson, her sisters, Mary Sue Hulsey and Myrtie Jo McCutcheon (Kenneth), her brother, Roy Landreth (Sherry), her children, Vicki Baldridge (Jim), James Carroll Pearson Jr. (Cinnamon), and Susan Clements (Mark).
