PIGGOTT — James Martin “Jim” Richardson,

90, of Piggott, Ark., passed away Thursday, November 11, 2021, at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Ark. He was born on June 21, 1931, in Cape Girardeau, Mo., and was the son of the late Don W. and Margaret (Cotner) Richardson. James was united in marriage to Roma Blake on March 31, 1957, and to this union six children were born. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Max Richardson; and sister, LaDon Walter. James is survived by his six children: Blake Richardson and wife Karen, Hattie Mae Carter and husband David, Ben Richardson and wife Allison, John Richardson and wife Kay, Bobby Richardson and wife Rachael, and Kate Richardson; grandchild­ren, Jennifer Thompson, Claire Cremeens, Lucy Cunningham and husband Ted, Will Richardson, Matthew Richardson, Della Mae Richardson, Griff Richardson, Lillian Richardson, Remy Lebeau, Elijah Lebeau, and Roma Grace Lebeau; sister-in-law, Roberta Richardson; brother-in-law and sisterin-law, Jack and Jennie Blake; three nieces, three nephews, and several cousins. Visitation is Sunday, November 14, 2021, at 1 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Piggott, Arkansas, with funeral service following at 2 p.m. with Rev. Joe Cole officiatin­g. Burial is in Piggott Cemetery in Piggott, Ark. Pallbearer­s will be David Gregory, Noah Gregory, David Hill, Danny Baldwin, Kirby Johnson, David Lyman, and Steve Lyman. Don Roeder will serve as an honorary pallbearer. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Ark., is in charge of the arrangemen­ts. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials to Piggott Library, Disabled American Veterans, or St. Jude Children’ss Research Center.
