Flora Dean Ramey

Flora Dean Ramey was born May 31, 1952 to the late Frank and Cather Ree Barnes in Urbana, Ark. Flora was called from labor to reward on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock, Ark.

She received her early education in the Urbana School System. She met and married Mr. Willie Andrews, and to this union two sons were born. After the death of her first husband, she met and married Mr. Timothy R. Ramey, and this union was blessed with a daughter. Flora served as a nurse for more than 35 years and retired in 2014 as a Registered Nurse from Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, Ark.

Flora leaves to cherish her precious memories her husband of 43 years, Dr. Timothy R. Ramey; three children, Michael D. Andrews, Marcus D. Andrews, and Teresa Moka; a son-in-law, Mario Moka; three sisters, Syrece Thomas (Levelle) of Little Rock, Ark., Delois Ross (Eddie Lee) of El Dorado, Ark., and Ellan McMurrian (J.C.) of El Dorado, Ark.; three brothers, Raymond “Ted” Barnes of El Dorado, Ark,, Kenneth Barnes of Little Rock, Ark., and Johnny Ray Oliver (Evonne) of Little Rock, Ark.; and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a twin sister; and a brother.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, November 27, 2021, at First Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Charles S. Boyd officiating. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetry by the P.K. Miller Mortuary. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 26, 2021, at the mortuary from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
