MT. VERNON — Mark Tucker,
70, of Mt. Vernon, Ark., went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 28, 2021. Mr. Tucker was born on Friday, March 9, 1951, in Mountain Home, Ark., to the late Arvil Tucker and Phyllis Botts Tucker.
Mark was of the Baptist faith and worked as an apprentice boilermaker for four years, then later as a journeyman boilermaker for 32 years. He also was a rancher for several years. Mr. Tucker was a volunteer for the Mt. Vernon Booster Club and served as a baseball coach for several years. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge number 65 of El Paso, Ark. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with grandkids, training dogs, and teaching apprentices how to weld.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 47 years, Deb Kirkpatrick Tucker; son, Steven Tucker (Amanda) of Naylor, Ark.; daughter, Carla Stephens (Heath) of Naylor, Ark.; three grandchildren, Mackenzie Tucker, Logan Tucker, Bentlee Stephens; one brother, John Tucker (Jackie) of Belton, Texas; one sister, Kathryn Davis of Oklahoma; one aunt, Ima Tucker of Oklahoma; two uncles, Dave Tucker (Shirley) of Cotter, Ark., Bob Jones of Oakwood, Ga.; brotherin-law, Ken Kirkpatrick (Sherry); sister-in-law, Lisa Moran (Collin); mother-in-law, Hettie Kirkpatrick and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Mr. Tucker is preceded in death by his parents; father-inlaw, Duane Kirkpatrick; brotherin-law, Dennis Kirkpatrick.
Visitation for Mr. Tucker will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, Ark. Funeral Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Grizzard Cemetery near El Paso, Ark. Brother Larry Grubbs will officiate.
