GREENBRIER — was a woman of faith and hope. Her faith and family were the most important to her. To know her was to love her. She passed from this world on December 9, 2021. She was born on June 21, 1927, in McGintytow­n, Ark. Her parents were Pete McGinty and Arlie Cardin McGinty. She was a lifelong member of the McGintytow­n Church of God.

Jettie worked many years as a top seamstress at the shoe factory in Conway. She later became a caregiver for her parents and aunt and uncle.

Jettie was a pillar in her church and community. She was always more concerned about others than herself. At any time of the day, you could walk in to her home and find her reading her bible. She read Psalm 91 every morning. She was affectiona­tely known as Mom, Granny, Aunt Jettie, and the Angel of McGintytow­n.

She was married to the love of her life, Jake Moreland, for 30 years. They had two children: Jim (JoAnn) Moreland of Greenbrier, Ark., and Keith (Debbie) Moreland of Conway, Ark.

Her grandchild­ren were the joy and light of her life. She said they made her who she was today. Her grandchild­ren are Nathan (Jess) Moreland of Greenbrier, Brandon (Natalie) Moreland of Greenbrier, Hannah (Jonathan) Colvin of Olive Branch, Miss., Toni (Darren) Smith of Vilonia, Ark., and Bart (Ashley) Rash of Russellvil­le, Ark.

Her Great-Grandchild­ren are Jace, Jaxon, and Briella Moreland, Jeremiah and Norah Colvin, Whitney and Abby Smith, Hayden Browers, and Ivan, Sloane, and Crawford Rash.

She is survived by one brother, Buck McGinty; two sisters: Judy Zellner (Bill) and Carolyn (Jerry) Coney;, and a sister-in-law, Leona McGinty; all of Greenbrier.

She has two very special friends in Connie McGinty and Carola Landry.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jake Moreland; her parents, Pete and Arlie McGinty; and two brothers: JW McGinty and Tommy McGinty.

At her request, there will be a graveside service for family at 2 p.m. Monday, December 13, at the McGintytow­n Cemetery. Officiatin­g will be Dan Landry of Greenwell, La., and Dan Wall of Greenbrier.

There will be a laying in state viewing at Roller McNutt in Greenbrier from 2-8 p.m. Sunday, December 12.

Pallbearer­s are Nathan Moreland, Brandon Moreland, Jonathan Colvin, Perry McGinty, David Cardin, and Bart Rash.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the McGintytow­n Church of God youth group.
