of Sherwood, passed from this life on December 5, 2021, at the age of 85.

He was born in Tennille, Georgia, on April 21, 1936, to the late Lee Owen “Bud” McCoy and Eula (Amerson) McCoy Roughton. Dean was a member of Brockingto­n Church of the Nazarene. His hobbies included baseball and fishing, but he was always happiest spending time with his family. He will always be remembered as a loving and hardworkin­g husband, father, grandfathe­r, brother, and friend.

In addition to his parents, Dean was preceded in death by his son, Terry McCoy, siblings, Ed McCoy, Wonnie McCoy, and JoAnn Snider. Mr. McCoy worked for more than forty years as a truck driver, retiring from ABF Trucking after many years. He drove over one million accident-free miles, earning himself a place in the Million Mile Drivers Club. Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of sixty-three years, Jeanette McCoy, daughter, Sherrie DeLuca and husband Tom of Little Rock, grandchild­ren, Blake DeLuca, and wife Kelly of Little Rock and David DeLuca of Little Rock, Other survivors include sister-in-law, Lillian McCoy of Georgia, along with several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Graveside services will be 3 p.m., Thursday, December 9, 2021, at Arkansas Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 until 2 p.m., immediatel­y prior to the service at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street, North Little Rock, Arkansas, 72114, 501-758-1170.
