ONGOING Arkansas Governor’s School Applications
RUSSELLVILLE — Students who would like to attend the 43rd Arkansas Governor’s School need to inquire with their school counselors about the nomination process. Arkansas Tech University will host the 43rd AGS on July
5 to Aug. 1. The Governor’s School serves approximately 400 selected students from around the state during the summer before their senior year in high school. Season’s Greetings Exhibit
CLINTON — The North Central Arkansas Artist League offers a Season’s Greetings exhibit at Ozark Health Medical Center, 2500 U.S. 65 S., in two hallway locations: upstairs near the nursing-home entrance and downstairs in the outpatient wing. The artworks, which are for sale, are by league members Ellen Kelly, Jane Gortney, Kathleen Hadley, Charlotte Rierson and Alecs Long, all of Fairfield Bay; Donna Buercklin of Greers Ferry; and Joyce Hartmann of Choctaw. The exhibit will be open to the public during business hours until mid-January. The Hospital Auxiliary receives a portion of each sale. Veterans Food Pantry
NORTH LITTLE ROCK — The Veterans Villages Helping Hand Program Food Pantry,
8325 MacArthur Drive, serves all veterans, as well as activeduty, Guard and Reserve service members and their families, in Faulkner and Perry counties. The food pantry will be open from 8 a.m. to noon every other Wednesday, including Jan. 12 and 26. The Veterans Villages of America Program also helps with unemployment, health care and housing for veterans and service members. Food Pantry and Thrift Store
MORRILTON — The Conway County Care Center’s food pantry, at 108 W. Broadway, is open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays and Fridays. Residents of Conway County may visit the pantry once a month to take home free supplemental food, regardless of household income. The center also operates a thrift store, where clothes and household items are available at a low cost, or free when there is an immediate need. HEBER SPRINGS — The Cleburne County Cares Food Pantry, 2016 Arkansas 25 Bypass, is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Those who need food are asked to call ahead at (501) 362-8486 so the pantry can have the items ready for pickup.

Sacred Heart School Trivia Night
MORRILTON — After a oneyear hiatus as a result of COVID-19 concerns, Sacred Heart School will have its eighth annual Trivia Night fundraiser, hosted by Roger Scott from 103.7 The Buzz, on Feb. 12 in the Sacred Heart gym/Ruff Auditorium. Guests will be treated to dinner from Elia’s Mexican Grill, as well as complimentary beverages throughout the evening. The only trivia category revealed in advance of the event is Popes of the 20th Century, chosen by the previous winning team. Prizes will be awarded for Best Team Name, Best Table Decorations and Best Costume.
