SAMUEL COURTNEY LANGSTON III,

66, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2022. Sam grew up in Marianna, the youngest child of Samuel Courtney, Jr., and Lois Marie Langston. Upon the family’s move to Little Rock, Sam became employed by the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, a job he dearly loved. He will be remembered as a kind and gentle free spirit. He dearly loved his family and friends and his music. Sam was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Martha Marie Hutto. He is survived by his sister, Lynn Benham (Paul); his long-time companion, Christy Saunders; and his nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the Kevin Engleman Family for taking Sam and Christy into their care. A family graveside service will be held in Rest Hills Memorial Garden.
