SARAH IMOGENE “JEAN” OAKLEY STANKEVITZ,

87, of Little Rock, Ark., passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family, after a long illness. Jean was born in Bunn, Arkansas, to the late Floyd Thomas Oakley and Thelma (Scoggins) Oakley. She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Rayburn Thomas Oakley. She was an excellent military wife and homemaker. She was a great caregiver having taken care of her father until his passing at 103, and her brother in his final years with her sister, Reba.

She is survived by her husband of fifty-nine years, Terence (Stan) Stankevitz, two sons, Keith (Deena) Stankevitz of Little Rock and Tim Stankevitz of Bryant, Arkansas. She also had one step-grandson, Rick (Calin) Snow and two great-step-grandsons, Breken and Tatum Snow. She is also survived by one sister, Reba (Richard) Jones of South Haven, Mississipp­i, one niece, Tammy Jones, one nephew, Van (Megan) Jones, one great-niece, and two great-nephews.

Graveside services will be 3 p.m., Friday, January 14, 2022, at Pinecrest Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made in her name to Parkway Place Baptist Church, 300 Parkway Place Drive, Little Rock, Arkansas, 72211.
