MALVERN — Elmer Herbert Warford,

age 96, of Malvern, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2002. He was born November 11, 1925, in Hot Springs County, Ark. Herbert was a U.S. Navy veteran and worked for the Benton Utility Company. He was a member of Glen Rose Assembly of God. Herbert was preceded in death by his parents; Edgbert and Hazel Tuggle Warford; and one sister, Clodell Warford.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Wanda Warford; daughter, Stephanie Edwards; and four grandchildren, Christina Eve Vanmeter, Ronnie Dewayne Edwards, Alec Joseph Edwards, and Christopher Michael Edwards; and close family friends, Joey and Joann Vanmeter.
