SALEM, Ore. — Harvey A. Johnson

went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, surrounded by loved ones. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his first wife, Ann Biddle Johnson. Harvey was born February 20, 1941, to Alice Shepherd Johnson and Joseph Cullen Johnson in Hickory Plains, Ark. Harvey was a retired math teacher and coach, with most of his career being in the Arkansas school districts of Benton and Bryant. After retirement, Harvey took on a second career as a Ski Instructor at Crested Butte Mountain Resort in Colorado and later in Oregon. Harvey was a deacon and active member in his church. He enjoyed skiing, bike riding, golfing, hunting, fishing, playing cards, and dominoes. He is survived by his wife, Patrice Johnson of Salem, Ore.; daughter, Tamela Pollack and her husband, Bill of S. Lebanon, Ohio; daughter, Jo Stell, and her husband, Jeff of Salem, Ore.; son, Michael Johnson and his wife, Melanie of Shreveport, La.; five grandchild­ren and one great-grandchild: Alison Elliott and her husband, James of Little Rock, Ark., and daughter, Ainsley; James Stell of Salem, Ore.; Blake Johnson and his wife, Martha of Houston, Texas; Anna Stell of Salem, Ore.; Daniel Pollack of S. Lebanon, Ohio; two sisters: Laura Lee Kimbrough of Bryant, Ark., and Jonnie Bounds of Conway, Ark. Memorial service will be held at Capital Baptist Church in Salem, Ore., April 1, 2022, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Fellowship of Christian Athletes Salem, In Memory of Harvey A.
