86, of Jonesboro, passed from this life on March 19, 2022, at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. Roger was born in Hardy, on August 14, 1935, to the late Netty and William Harmon. In addition to his parents, Roger is preceded in death by his brothers, Bill, Harl, Mike, and Lanis; and sisters, Bessie and Ruthel; and one great-grandchild. Roger spent most of his life living in Jonesboro and the NEA area. He served in the Air Force in the late 1950s and transition­ed to pharmacy school afterwards. Roger was a pharmacist for 50 years. He worked for St. Bernards Medical Center, was the President of the Arkansas Pharmacy Associatio­n, and was appointed by Governor Mike Beebe to serve on the Arkansas State Medical Board. In his free time, Roger was a well-known tennis player and coach. He was a tennis pro at the Jonesboro Country Club and won several awards, including state titles and runner-up at nationals. In his later years, he enjoyed his time playing golf. Roger was a man of God and a former deacon at Southwest Church of Christ. Most importantl­y, Roger loved being with his family.

Roger is survived by his wife of 65 years, JoAnn Harmon of the home; daughters, Lisa Harmon of Memphis and DeAnn McNeely (Matt) of Little Rock; son, David Harmon (Renee) of Jonesboro; grandchild­ren, Paige Boozer of Conway, Peyton McNeely of Little Rock, Connor McNeely of Little Rock, and Seth Harmon of Jonesboro; three great-grandchild­ren; and a host of family and friends.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at Emerson Funeral Home. A visitation will precede the service from 1 to 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to: St. Bernards Heart and Vascular, 201E.
