HOT SPRINGS — Steven “Steve” C. White,

60, of Hot Springs, formerly of Chicago, Illinois, died Friday, March 18, 2022. He was born June 8, 1961, in Hot Springs, to Charles and Shirley White. Steve received a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and a Master’s Degree in Business Administra­tion in 1984 from the University of Arkansas in Fayettevil­le. While studying at the U. of A. he was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity and the Dean’s list.

Steve was employed at the Chicago Board of Trade, with the Hagerty Firm, for twenty one years. Steve was then recruited by Rosenthal-Collins Firm, in Chicago, to lead the Internatio­nal Division overseeing the purchases and sales of clients’ commoditie­s. Before moving back to Hot Springs, for health reasons in 2021, Steve was a member of First Baptist Church, Chicago, Illinois. Devoting his financial assistance where needed. Prior to Steve’s cancer, he immensely enjoyed internatio­nal travel, with Ireland being one of his favorite destinatio­ns.

Steve was predecease­d by his parents, Charles and Shirley White, grandparen­ts, Floyd and Anna Marie Harrison of Hot Springs; and grandparen­ts, David and Ruby White of Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Survivors include one sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Bill Hurley of Hot Springs; His life companion Vivian of Chicago, IL; along with other family members and friends. A vast amount of gratitude to CHI Hot Springs ER Staff, Dr. Kennedy, Nurse Barbara, Dr. Tim English, and Dr. Fred Divers for their exemplary care.

A special recognitio­n of Steve’s wonderful friends, of thirty three years, John Hagerty, Dimitri Neckopulos, and Rich Mackey, as well as a host of friends in Chicago, Illinois.
