VILONIA — Cara Elizabeth Sutherland Kuykendall,

97, of Otto, Ark., passed away on June 29, 2022. She was born October 11, 1924 in Paducah, Ky., to Roscoe and Amy Sutherland. Mrs. Kuykendall was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 49 years, O.G. Kuykendall; her oldest son, Larry Ray Kuykendall; two brothers, Sammy Joe Sutherland and Rudy Sutherland; and a sister, Amy Reibel. Cara is survived by two sons: Jerry Kuykendall of Otto and girlfriend, Theresa Chambers, and Jim Kuykendall and wife, Vickie, of Mineral Springs, Ark.; one sister: Barbara Burtus; two brothers: Roscoe Sutherland and Jimmy Sutherland, all of Michigan; grandchild­ren, Jennifer Jones, Ryan Kuykendall, Justin Kuykendall (Alethia), Beth Lowery (Bruce), Marc Kuykendall (Kate), and Tyler Kuykendall (Brittany); 14 great-grandchild­ren, 10 great-great-grandchild­ren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Kuykendall was a former owner of Kuykendall Cement in Gravel Ridge, Ark., and Lester Flatt Memorial Park in Otto, Ark. She had been a very active member of First Assembly of God Church in Gravel Ridge where she previously taught a children’s Sunday School Class. Funeral Services will be 11 a.m., Saturday July 9, 2022 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home, North Little Rock, Ark., with visitation to begin 1 hour prior to service. Interment will be at Gravel Ridge Cemetery. Pallbearer­s will be Justin Kuykendall, Jaron Kuykendall, Marc Kuykendall, Tyler Kuykendall, Wesley Kuykendall, Wyatt Kuykendall and Jake Kuykendall.
