Under the Rig A team of researchers discovers a mysterious group of mako sharks of the Gulf of Mexico that migrates from Florida to Rhode Island; they call these sharks Mavericks, and the team is trying to learn what sets them apart from others of their kind.

7:00 p.m. DISC Jaws vs. the Blob A phenomenon known as The Blob sends juvenile great whites into a gauntlet of giant 20-foot adults in the midst of a feeding frenzy off the coast of Guadalupe Island; experts dive deep to learn whether the young sharks survive or become a snack.
