ARI COOPER HUBBARD

-

passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on September 21, 2022, after a difficult battle with Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome and Cerebral Palsy.

While Ari’s life on Earth was too short for those of us who loved him, it was positively filled with love, laughter, and miracles. Ari met his mothers on May 12, 2017, before coming home on Mother’s Day, May 14th. His twin brother would join them eight days later, and their family would be complete with the addition of his sister on June 18, 2020. Ari loved spending time with his family, whether it was on the beach, napping, having dance parties, or playing with his toys. He especially loved songs, beeping, and buzzing sounds including “weee weee weee” all the way home from “This Little Piggy”. Ari’s favorite thing was unquestionably the sound of his mommy’s and his 2mama’s voices.

Ari attended Pediatrics Plus where he received so much love and dedication from his therapists, teachers, nurses, and other staff members. He was also well known and loved by most at Arkansas Children’s Hospital, especially the Emergency room staff and the Neurology team (Shoutout 4D!), with a special bond to Dr. Carrie Brown, Nurse Angie Allen, and Nurse Kristy Price with Arkansas Hospice. Ari brought angels with him everywhere he went.

Ari is preceded in death by his Papa Ben (Farley, grandfather). He is survived by his mothers, Kara and Leslie Hubbard; brother, Isaac; sister; Israel; Nonnie (Susan Farley, grandmother); Yaya and Pops (Jeannie and Mike Ginn, grandparents); Papaw and Pammie (Layne Hubbard and Pamela Seevers, grandparents); and NeeNee and Bill (Bill and Betty Copeland, great-grandparents). He is also survived by uncles, aunts, cousins, and many other caregivers who unselfishly loved him.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made to Canvas Community (Canvas Community Giving).

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at Smith Sherwood Funeral Home (7700 Hwy 107). A Celebration of Life will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at the funeral home. The family requests you come dressed casual and bright. Please visit www.smithfamilycares.com for the online guestbook.
