First Trinity to give away food
First Trinity Church of God in Christ, 800 S. Catalpa St., will hold its monthly community-wide food distribution from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 5. Food boxes will be given away on a first-comefirst-served basis until all food is distributed. Participants are encouraged to remain in their vehicles during the event, according to a news release.
UAM concludes marketing series
The final event of the Modern Marketing training series will be held Oct. 5 at the University of Arkansas at Monticello. The series will be presented in person and online by the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center. The topic will be Tik Tok for Small Business. City to honor slain officer
The city of Pine Bluff invites the community to attend two events honoring the late Detective Kevin D. Collins. A remembrance ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. Oct. 5 at the Pine Bluff City Hall Court Yard, 200 E. Eighth Ave. The ceremony will conclude with a wreath laying at 12:05 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery, 7403 Princeton Pike Road. Ward One Block Party: Carnival Style will be held Nov. 5 from 1-4 p.m. at 2901 Pines Mall Drive. The event will feature music, games, live animals, and food trucks.
