— Patrick Sexton, 71, of Magnet Cove passed away on Monday, October 31, 2022, in Little Rock. He was born January 17, 1951, in Malvern, the son of the late Clyde James and Avis Gill Sexton. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Mike Sexton.

He earned his master’s degree in Education and was a retired teacher and principal at Malvern School District. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworkin­g, and carpentry work.

Survivors: wife of 49 1/2 years, Ginger Blevins Sexton; sons, Christophe­r Sexton (Ashley) and Matthew Sexton (Emily); grandchild­ren, Hannah Sexton, Lily Sexton, Emma Sexton, Garrett Sexton and Bella Sexton; nieces and nephew, Stacey Sexton, Aaron Sexton, Mindy Sexton, James Wells, John Wells and Todd Franks and Neil Franks.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, November 3, at 10:30 a.m., at First Southern Baptist Church of Magnet Cove with Brother Chris Sexton and Brother Aaron Polk officiatin­g. Burial followed at Magnet Cove Cemetery. Pallbearer­s were Garrett Sexton, Stacey Sexton, Scotty Hammonds, Matt Sexton and Chris Sexton.

Honorary pallbearer­s were Sonny Crumby, Harvey Sheppard, Ivan Holloway, Mike Wells, Jim Paul Franks, Scott Hammonds, Jeff Price, and Magnet Cove Cemetery Associatio­n.
