Missionary PEARLIE MAE DAVIS HOLMES,

age 82 of Little Rock, Ark., (Higgins Community) was born December 14, 1939 in Portland, AR. She went home to be with the Lord, Monday, November 14, 2022. Pearlie was a graduate of Dunbar High School in Little Rock, Ark., and continued her education at St. Vincent Infirmary Practical Nursing School. Her work as a nurse extended to the community and the church.

Pearlie was a member of St. Mark Baptist Church. Prior to St. Mark Baptist Church, she was a member of Woods Temple and Greater Trinity C.O.G.I.C where she was instrument­al in starting several children’s ministries (Sunshine Band, Vacation Bible School, Christmas Bell Choir, The Jr. Usher Board and several other children’s ministries). She was also a member of Woods Temple and Greater Trinity C.O.G.I.C. Adult Choir.

Her legacy and memories will forever linger in the heart of those left to mourn; six children, Ricky Holmes (Helen), Pearlie Alexander (Kenneth), Marcie Holmes James (Manuel), Gregory Holmes (Yolanda), Steven Holmes (Chanel), Erica Clark (Joslin), 14 grandchild­ren and 15 great-grandchild­ren, a special niece Delphia Jones and special nephew James Cleveland.

A celebratio­n of life will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, November 21, 2022 at St. Mark Baptist Church, 5722 West 12th St, Little Rock, Ark., where Phillip Pointer is the pastor. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m., Sunday, November 20, 2022 at Faithful Funeral Home, 7727 Colonel Glenn Road, Little Rock, Ark. Edward Shelton Director
