PATRICIA ROSE KEATTS
of Little Rock, passed from this life November 15, 2022 at the age of 73. She was born December 31, 1948 to James and Rose Dayer Daugherty in Conway, Ark. Pat attended St. Joseph’s Catholic Schools. She was a graduate of the University of Central Arkansas in Conway with a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, with an emphasis on Reading. She was an educator in the Pulaski County School District for 30 years.
Pat leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of over 50 years Carroll Keatts of Little Rock, and her daughter, Kathryn Keatts Feehan and husband Mathew of Alexandria, Va. She also leaves behind her sisters, Sarah Thornton (Ralph) of Conway and Rebecca Kersten (Randy) of Sherwood as well as niece, April Kersten-Torres (Arturo) and nephews, Jacob Kersten (Heather) and Michael Kersten (Madison). Pat was blessed with a large and loving extended family who will treasure her memory.
Pat was a tiny lady at 4’8” tall but she was strong and resilient. She had numerous health challenges in the last few years but she faced them with courage and grace. She was a devoted wife and mother; her family was always first in life.
She never taught students past the third grade because after that they were taller than her. She forged a love of reading in her students, daughters and niece and nephews.
It’s a comfort to know how many lives she touched and changed for the better.
Pat will be remembered for her kindness and loving spirit as well as her humor and never-ending patience. She was a great believer in Angels, especially after her aneurysm. She is an Angel now.
