James Edward Hazelip, age 92, of Rockwall, Texas, passed away November 17, 2022. He was born August 25, 1930, in Pine Bluff, Ark., to Harry James Hazelip and Reba (Hays) Hazelip. James graduated in 1949 from Pine Bluff High School and began working for Federal Compress and Warehouse Co. Inc., staying with them for 52 years until his retirement in 2001. He will be dearly missed.

James was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Rockwall, Texas, and ordained as Deacon in 1971 at First Baptist Church in Pine Bluff, Ark. Since leaving Pine Bluff, Ark., he continued serving as Deacon at several locations. James loved music and participat­ed in the church choir from age fourteen through the year 2001. He was active in Little Theater in Pine Bluff, Ark., and Corinth, Miss., and was the past President of Kiwanis Club and Lions club.

James is survived by his daughters: Barbara Lynn Hazelip, and Beverly Ann Keiffer and husband Paul; and grandchild­ren: Scott Keiffer and wife Eileen, and Rebecca Toft and husband Martin. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Helen Hazelip; parents; and sister, Janie Lee Maurer.

Funeral Services will be 1 p.m., Monday, November 28, 2022, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery.
