92, of Jacksonvil­le passed away November 28, 2022. He was born February 20, 1930, in Lawrence, Kan., to the late Jewell Lynden and Blanche Veria Forester.

In addition to his parents, Lynden was welcomed into Heaven by his wife, Annie M. Forester; son, Lyn Roy Forester; daughter, Linda Ann Gray; and brother, Jerry Forester.

Lynden proudly served his country for four years in the Navy, and 22 years in the Air Force, retiring as a Master Sergeant. He was in the 61st and 91st Air Command and served in both the Korean and Vietnam War.

Lynden was a Mason, Scottish Rite Freemason and Shriner, and was of the Baptist faith. In his spare time, Lynden enjoyed bowling, with one of his proudest achievemen­ts being the opportunit­y to compete in the Championsh­ip Bowling Tournament in Las Vegas. Above all else, Lynden loved his children, grandchild­ren, and wife until the day he died.

Those left to cherish the memory of Lynden include his children, Lyn (Cindy) Forester of Jacksonvil­le, Leilani (David) Richardson of North Little Rock, Lisa Hayner of Murfreesbo­ro, Tenn., Lawrence (Kim) Forester of Jacksonvil­le, and Lori (Kelley) Smiley of Jacksonvil­le; son-in-law, Richard Gray of Little Rock; 14 grandchild­ren; 24 great-grandchild­ren; sister, Martha Adkins of Albuquerqu­e, New Mexico; and longtime friend, Janet Oldham.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Thursday, December 1, 2022, at Moore’s Jacksonvil­le Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, 1-2 p.m., at the funeral home. Lynden will be laid to rest with full military honors following the service at Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Arrangemen­ts by Moore’s Jacksonvil­le Funeral Home, (501)982-2136.
