BENTON — Violet Marie Wood Harris,

97 of Benton, passed away on November 27, 2022. She was born on December 5, 1924 in Opal, Ark., to the late Harlow and Lillie B. Ramsey Foreman.

Violet was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and four sisters, husbands, Earl Wood and J.T. Harris.

She is survived by her sons, Larry (Judy) Wood, David Wood and Tim Wood, daughters, Doris (Sonny) Nutt and Jane (Larry) Garrett, 12 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

Chapel services, by Ashby Funeral Home, will be at noon on Monday, December 5th with Bro. Michael Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Crest Cemetery in Alexander. There will be an open visitation at Ashby Funeral Home. On-line guestbook at www.ashbyfuneralhome.com
