SATURDAY’S LATE GAMES BOYS

BRYANT 67, BENTON 51 Elem Shelby’s 21 points, 4 steals and 2 rebounds were vital for Bryant (9-2) in the Saline County Shootout victory. Cedric Jones, who hit the game-winning three-pointer Friday against Fayettevil­le, responded with 14 points, 10 assists, 4 rebounds and 3 steals, and Darren Wallace answered with 12 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals for the Hornets, who’ve won the matchup eight consecutiv­e times.

DUMAS 83, DERMOTT 29 Tommy Reddick continued his impressive play with 17 points, 4 rebounds and 3 steals in a strong showing from Dumas (7-6), which has won its last seven games. Mike Reddick finished with 14 points, 5 rebounds, 5 steals and 3 assists, and Raylen Spratt added 12 points and 3 steals for the Bobcats.

FLIPPIN 70, RIVERCREST 64 Rilyn Robins scored 17 points for Flippin (10-8) during its Billy Play Classic. Corbin Rogers had 13 points, and both Gabe Davis and Alex Glenn followed with 11 each for the Bobcats.

HIGHLAND 58, MAMMOTH SPRING 56 (OT) Behind tournament Most Valuable Player Noah Powell, Highland (10-3) outlasted the host team in the final of the Battle of the Border showcase. The win was the Rebels’ sixth in their past seven games. Andrew Jones led Mammoth Spring (12-8) with 15 points. Gavin Boddie had 13 points, while Brayden Cray and Blake Rogers ended with 12 points and 10 points, respective­ly, for the Bears.

LITTLE ROCK PARKVIEW 74, NORTH LITTLE ROCK 72 (2OT) Nate Coley led a spirited charge with 28 points, 7 assists, 6 rebounds and 6 steals as Parkview (56) took down its rival. Dallas Thomas had 15 points for the Patriots. Tyler Frederick scored 18 points, Robert Griffin ended with 14, and Braylon Frazier collected 13 for North Little Rock (9-2).

RUSSELLVIL­LE 52, WARREN 38 Luke Stump plowed his way to 21 points and grabbed five rebounds in a 14-point win for Russellvil­le (7-2). Caleb Carter had 12 points and four rebounds for the Cyclones.

VAN BUREN 64, FORT SMITH SOUTHSIDE 57 Drew Brasuell turned in 28 points, including a perfect 5 of 5 from the foul line, to take Van Buren (7-4) to a win at the Mustang Classic in Anderson, Mo.

WHITNEY YOUNG (ILL.) 51, LITTLE ROCK CHRISTIAN 48 Daniel Johnson scored 18 points to help Whitney Young (8-4) hold on in the HoopHall South Classic in Bentonvill­e. J.J. Andrew scored 12 points for LR Christian (7-2).

GIRLS

BRYANT 59, BENTON 51 Austyn Oholendt scored 17 points as Bryant (6-3) snapped out of a two-game skid by capturing the Saline County Shootout championsh­ip. Lauren Lain had 13 points, and Brilynn Findley had 12 points for the Lady Hornets, who led 30-21 at halftime. Natalie Edmonson and Emileigh Muse each scored nine points for Bryant.

MAMMOTH SPRING 63, HIGHLAND 55 Brynn Washam knocked in 24 points for Mammoth Spring (14-3), which took home the Battle of the Border championsh­ip for the third straight year. Sara Crowe scored 16 points, and Adrianna Corbett finished with 15 for the Lady Bears, winners of six straight.

MELBOURNE 58, CEDAR RIDGE 51 Abbie Lawrence tossed in 18 points to lead Melbourne (4-4) back from an 11-point deficit in the Northeast Arkansas Invitation­al. Kylea Morgan supplied 17 points, Ashtyn Kimble had 10, and Halle Skidmore finished with 9 for the Lady Bearkatz.

RIVERCREST 65, WALNUT RIDGE 43 Brineka Taylor had 19 points, 11 rebounds and 4 steals as Rivercrest (7-5) won its opener at the Northeast Arkansas Invitation­al. Destiny Burks tallied 17 points and 9 rebounds, and Mykayla Banks collected 10 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals for the Lady Colts, who’ve been on the winning end of five of their last six contests.

WHITE COUNTY CENTRAL 52, GOSNELL 45 McKenzie Massey dropped in 20 points as White County Central (9-10) prevailed during the Northeast Arkansas Invitation­al. Gabby Hancock had 11 points for the Lady Bears, who ended a seven-game losing streak and won for the first time since Nov. 19.
