WILLIAM JOSEPH (JODY) MUSGROVE, JR,
of Little Rock, Ark., went to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ, February 12, 2023, at the age of 75. Born October 3, 1947, in Charleston, Ark., to Kate Colvard and Joseph Musgrove, Jody was a proud graduate of Charleston High School and went on to earn his undergraduate and master’s degrees at the University of Central Arkansas. Jody was an amazing athlete in his younger days. He ran track during his time at UCA and was inducted into UCA Sports Hall of Fame October 17, 2015.
Jody had an inquisitive mind, along with a love of learning, teaching and travel; ask his grandchildren.
After retiring from teaching high school twice, or was it three times, Jody continued his study of the Bible and history and went on to teach at Life Quest of Arkansas. He had a huge impact on so many lives as a teacher, coach, and mentor. Jody’s love for his family was endless.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Buddy Musgrove. Jody is survived by his wife of 33 years, Mary Ann Cary Musgrove; his three stepdaughters, Sherry Cary, Jan Hubbard and Kellie Bell (David); five grandchildren, Alex, Hannah, and Max Hubbard, Elizabeth and Christopher Bell; two nieces, Kristen Larsen and Claudine Penderson; sister-in-law, Francoise Musgrove; and son-in-law, Alan Hubbard.
A service of remembrance will be held at Pinnacle View Methodist Church in Little Rock on Saturday, February 18, 2023, with a visitation beginning at 2 p.m., and service starting at 3 p.m.
