JUDITH (JUDI) K. DOUGHERTY,

-

73 years, born Judith Kay Schelhaas, after a brief battle with cancer, has entered into the Kingdom of Heaven on April 15, 2023, and is now with our Lord and Savior! Survived by husband, Mark, and “the Best” loving mother to four wonderful, talented children: Tamara (Tammy) J. Eros, Jared B. Eros, Tiffany J., and Jonathan M. Dougherty. Judi was born in Mission, S.D., and preceded in death by parents Conrad and Elnora Schelhaas (Faber) née, Vis. Survived by one sister, Carol Muckey, and one brother, Don Schelhaas, both of Mission, S.D., and a host of nephews and nieces. Judi enjoyed being an active part to Cornerstone Bible Fellowship in Sherwood; she worked at BCBS, Little Rock, in the “ID’s Dept.”, retiring after 22 years of faithful service. She loved baking holiday treats for her co-workers, and each year she would have a “bake sale” so all could sample her amazing recipes. Judi will be missed by all who knew her.

Judi had a pure heart and a giving spirit. While reserved and didn’t often share her feelings, it was obvious to those who were close to her how much she loved them. Her life was her four children, four dogs, two cats, deciding the next recipe for weekend suppers, and husband, Mark, whom she loved unconditionally.

Her definition of marital bliss was the enjoyment of baking and cooking, preparing Sunday meals for her family, and watching every movie the Hallmark channel had to offer.

Her children deeply loved their mom, and they didn’t miss a day without calling just to chat and tell her how much!

“I love you, Honey; you will always be the best part of me!”

“You never know the value of a moment, until it becomes a memory.” Dr. Seuss.

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 22, at 10 a.m., with visitation following till 12 p.m. An online guestbook is available at www.rollerfuneralhomes.com/owens.
