age 69, of Little Rock, Ark., passed peacefully, surrounded by loved ones. Mark was born on February 4, 1954 in Lake Charles, La., to Gertrude (Fontenot) and Ignatius Hurd Higgins, Jr. Mark is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Mark Keith Higgins, II and Meghan Elizabeth (O’Hara) of Norfolk, Va., and Joshua Charles Higgins and Stacy Renea (Wedding) of Elizabeth City, N.C.; grandchild­ren, Makayla Ann Rankin, Memphis Jakori Rankin, Joshua Charles Higgins, II, August Talbot Higgins, Judah Blaise Higgins and James Edward Higgins. Mark is also survived by his sisters, Alicia Higgins and Diedre (Robert) Jones; and brothers, Gregory (Michelle) Higgins, Ignatius Higgins, III, Eric (Caron) Higgins of Little Rock and Jonathan (Julie) Higgins of Lebanon, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews. Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Gertrude and Ignatius Higgins; and his brother Michael “Skipper” Higgins. Mark was a true man-of-all-work, holding numerous positions throughout his career, working with his father as a brick mason, and later as an electricia­n, welder and as cook. In life, Mark was charming, had an impressive gift for gab, enjoyed doing several voices for his children and grandchild­ren; his Donald Duck impression was second-to-none, he enjoyed fishing, reading the bible daily, and most of all, doting on his grandchild­ren.

A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, June 24 at 11:30 am at Good Counsel Church, W. 12th St. & S. Jackson St, Little Rock, Ark., 72204.
