HOLIDAY ISLAND — Donna Kaye Cotner Norris,

-

76, Holiday Island, Ark., formerly of Springfield, Mo., departed to Heaven Wednesday, June 7, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 23, 1946 in Pine Bluff, Ark., the daughter of W.E. Ratliff and Jean Nicholas Ratliff.

Donna Kaye enjoyed a successful and rewarding career, including both media and real estate sales, with the latter spanning 35+ years and resulting in a diverse professional network and the fostering of a multitude of personal friendships. She loved her family, friends, and pets unconditionally, with her two treasured gifts in life being a mother and her relationship with Christ. Donna Kaye was a gift to us from the Lord above. She was a special lady, and in the most pure sense, a Southern Lady. Her South Arkansas roots served her well. While in her presence, she could make you feel better than you are. Who could resist her beautiful glowing smile and cheerful “Hi Sugar!” She owned us, those who were blessed to have her in our lives. The love we shared cannot be expressed in words alone. We will miss her endlessly until we are joined together again in eternity. Surely, she was an “Angel Among Us.” In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sandra Lynn Day; and her brother, Steven Trent Ratliff.

Donna Kaye is survived by her husband, Gary Norris; son, Shayne Cotner; and numerous other family members and friends. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 21, 2023 in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, with Reverend Billy H. Burris, officiating. Private burial will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be left at: gormanscharpf.com. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Billy Graham Association at Give Online (billygraham.org).
