CONWAY — Pete McCadden,

who has battled Alzheimer’s disease for several years, passed away while under hospice care at Conway Regional Medical Center. Thanks to CRMC and Gentiva Hospice for the efforts to make Pete comfortabl­e in his last days.

Pete graduated from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, serving in the ROTC there, and then proudly became an officer in the United States Air Force. He served as a pilot and was honorably discharged at the rank of Captain. He moved on to work as a corporate pilot, then into human resources. An avid sportsman, he raced cars, played tennis and golf, and watched sports on television.

Pete was preceded in death by his wife Jo McCadden, sister Barbara Naber, son-in-law Mark Thomas, nephew Kevin Conway, and parents Peter and Mickie McCadden.

Pete is survived by daughters Laura Thomas of Maumelle, Ark., and Carrie East (Steve) of Conway, Ark., grandchild­ren Zeb Daniel (Steph) of Belmont, N.C., Amanda Moser (Derek) of Farmington, Ark., and Trey Daniel (Jessie) of Conway, Ark., great-grandchild­ren Harper Daniel of Belmont, N.C., Mabrey, Rhodes & Rawley Moser of Farmington, Ark.

Special thanks to Conway Healthcare & Rehabilita­tion and everyone else who assisted, prayed or just listened through the last few years. Thank you for all you did for our father, grandfathe­r and great-grandfathe­r.

Per Pete’s wishes he will be cremated with no memorial service at this time. As a way to honor Pete, in lieu of flowers, please make donations to the cause of your choice.
