Molly Helen Goforth Kircher, 80, of Bald Knob, passed from this life on Sunday, June 18, 2023 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. She was born September 29, 1942 in Memphis, Tennessee and spent her formative years in Piggott, Ark. Molly was a graduate of Ouachita Baptist University, where she met Larry, her husband of 58 years and 10 months. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology and enjoyed a long career in raising a family and finding just one more spot to plant a flower in her gardens. She served as a board member of the Citizens State Bank for more than 35 years and enjoyed serving her community in various positions. She was a long-time member of the White County Domestic Violence Prevention board as well as Friends for Life; a pregnancy crisis center. In 2012, she was awarded the “Stepping Up For Ouachita” award in recognitio­n of her support for the University and her love of the Lord. She had previously served on the Board of Directors of the Bald Knob Chamber of Commerce where she served as secretary for some time. Molly was also a long time member of the Bald Knob Garden Club where she served as President many times and had also served as the President of the Bald Knob Country Club. She was a very devoted member of the Central Baptist Church in Bald Knob where she was organist for 50 years and longtime director of the Vacation Bible School. Molly enjoyed volunteeri­ng at her children’s schools and was very supportive in their activities. She was a prolific “juggler” of not only family and work but quite literally. Molly was an excellent juggler; a talent that not many knew Molly possessed.

Molly is survived by her husband of more than 58 years, Larry Kircher; her daughters, Laura Hays and husband Kenny and Jennifer Self and husband Scott; grandchild­ren, Brandon Mueller and Marie Mueller, J.P., Kaitlyn, Deborah, Melanie, James, Bodi and Jeremiah Self; great-grandchild­ren, Landrey, Merritt and Sutton Mueller as well as a close cousin, Tom Leggett.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lowell A. Goforth and Helen Juanita (Leggett) Goforth Litzelfeln­er and her step-father, Ralph Litzelfeln­er.

Visitation will be held Sunday, June 25, 2023 from 2– 3 p.m. at the Central Baptist Church 1507 West Center in Bald Knob, Ark. with funeral services following at 3 p.m. Dr. Rex Horne and Bro. Charles McKendree will officiate. Interment will follow in the Shady Grove Cemetery. Arrangemen­ts are entrusted to Powell Funeral Home, Bald Knob – Judsonia. www.powellfune­ralhome.net.
