76 of Little Rock died on June 17, 2023 at UAMS.

Bob is survived by his wife, Laura Angelique Boury, and daughter, Susan Nicole Stogsdill, and sister, Bonnie Radevski, and brother-inlaw, TJ Radevski.

Bob was a devoted husband and father to Angie and Susan. He loved them very much.

Bob was born in Wheeling, W. Va. to Michael and Mickey Boury. After high school graduation, he graduated from Manhattan School of Music followed by a Doctorate of Music Compositio­n at University of Michigan.

Bob was a Professor of music, chair of the music department­s and resident composer at UALR where he met his wife, Laura Angelique Boury and they were happily married for 41 years at the time of his death.

Bob was an active musician and devoted teacher, who hosted a songwriter’s showcase for his students each semester. In 2004, UALR commission­ed him to create a work in honor of the opening of the Clinton Presidenti­al Library in Little Rock, and he continued to volunteer in schools, churches, and hospitals to share his music. Bob composed the UALR Alma Mater. His many art songs, operas, piano, and chamber music pieces were performed regionally, nationally, and internatio­nally, where he won the Joseph H. Bearnes Compositio­n prize from Columbia University, presented in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Bob’s talents also included poetry and visual art.

A memorial service will be Saturday, June 24th at 2 p.m. at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church in Little Rock. The American Stroke Associatio­n has been chosen for contributi­ons to honor Bob’s memory.
