Philip J. Petrus, Jr.

-

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.”(2 Timothy 4:7) born January 22, 1952 and passed away June 16, 2023.

Phil was a man of strong faith and knew life was fragile. He would always stress the importance of needing to live our lives in such a way that we’re ready for when God calls us home. He referred to this as “sittin on go.” He shared this with his wife, family, and others around him. He would say, ”this life is just a proving ground, we’re just passing through, and it is all about choices.” He lived his faith, praying God would use him to help others. He leaves behind a legacy that lives on in the lives he touched.

He is preceded in death by his father, Philip J. Petrus, Sr. and his son, Mitchell. He is survived by his wife Sue of Carlisle; his mother, Evelyn of The Woodlands, Texas; son, Trey of Destin, Fla.; sister, Marilyn of The Woodlands, Texas; four step-children, Rhonda, Kimberlee, Tessa, Donald and their spouses; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and many others who will always love him. He was an inspiration to everyone around him and a hero to his family.
