Myrtle “Ruth” Jones,

age 74 of Texarkana, Ark., went home to be with her Lordand Savior on Monday, June 19, 2023. Ruth was born November

9, 1948, in Carthage, Arkansas, to the late J.B. Hall and Frances Manning Hall Reavis.

Ruth was a member of Northern Hills Baptist Church in Texarkana and the Fellowship Sunday School Class. She was a homemaker and loving mother. She loved to travel and was blessed to be able to visit 67 countries on five continents. She cherished her grandchild­ren and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband offifty years, John E. Jones, her father, mother, and one sister, Janis Byrd. She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Jones of Hot Springs; her daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Scott Gray of Alexander; her two beloved grandchild­ren, Alison and Carson Gray of Alexander; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Roger and Karen Hall of Bentonvill­e, and Randy and Kristy Hall of Bauxite; one sister, Tina Rackley of Mabelvale; four nephews, two nieces, and special niece Rhonda Cooper of Hot Springs.

Visitation will be Friday, June 23 from 6-8 p.m. at Regency Funeral Home in Malvern. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 24 at 10 a.m. at Regency Funeral Home with Dr. Roger Copeland officiatin­g. Burial will follow in Tulip Cemetery under the direction of Regency Funeral Home with graveside services officiated by Dr. Roger Copeland. Pallbearer­s will be Aaron Hall, Owen Cooper, Kevin Cooper, Gary Green, and Harrel Dickerson.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. A. Ray Bollen, Dr. Lawrence Mendelsohn, Favor Home Care, Arkansas Hospice, and her caregivers.
