CONWAY — Dr. John Carroll Dobbs, Jr.,

age 76, of Conway, died peacefully with his family at his bed side, July 6, 2023 at Cornerston­e Acute Care Unit in Little Rock, Ark., after enduring complicati­ons from a heart attack.

He was born in Little Rock, Ark., on October, 3, 1946, to John Carroll Dobbs, Sr., and Lucille Dobbs. He graduated from North Little Rock High School where he played football and graduated in 1964. He received a BS in Science from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 1968 and a medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Science in 1972. He was a family practice physician who practiced in Searcy, Ark., for 5 years before setting up the Ross/Dobbs Clinic in Conway with a Family Practice partner, Dr. Rex Ross, where he practiced for 42 years.

Dr. Dobbs is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Karen Dobbs; his son, Jason Dobbs; daughter, Alicia Eberhard, and six grandchild­ren. He enjoyed his family practice and all of his patients he held dear to his heart, family and friends, and hobbies such as hunting, fishing and scuba diving with his children and grandchild­ren.

A memorial funeral will be held at 10 a.m. at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, Ark., on Saturday, July 22, 2023. Cremation arrangemen­ts were made under the direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home.
