Virginia Dillahunty Huxtable, 91, of Pine Bluff, formerly of West Memphis, Ark., was a loving, Christian woman.

She passed away Sunday, August 6, 2023 at Trinity Village Medical Center.

Born Virginia Dillahunty August 18, 1931, in Manilla, Ark., she was a daughter of Samuel Alfred Dillahunty and Mary Virginia Beall Dillahunty. She was reared and received her early education in Osceola and Earle, graduating from Earle High School in 1950.As a young girl growing up on a farm, she enjoyed riding horses and swimming. She worked for the Bank of Earle for a short time before she married Lynn P. Huxtable February 22, 1952.

Mrs. Huxtable became a loving homemaker and wife to her husband and daughter, Virginia “Ginny”.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of West Memphis for many years before moving to Pine Bluff and moving her membership to First Baptist Church of Pine Bluff about eight years ago.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lynn P. Huxtable; and sister, Ann Dillahunty (Ray) Mann.

Survivors include her daughter, Virginia “Ginny” (Joe) Clement of Pine Bluff; grandchild­ren, Win Clement of Boulder, Colorado, Mary Clement Smith of Little Rock and Wes (Kim) Clement of Little Rock; and two great-grandchild­ren, Caleb and Joshua Smith of Little Rock (sons of Mary Clement Smith).

A graveside service will be 1 p.m., Friday, August 11, 2023 at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, Ark. with Reverend George Mitchell officiatin­g by Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Directors of Pine Bluff. Visitation will be Thursday afternoon from 4-6 p.m. at Robinson’s.
