FAYETTEVIL­LE — Arlene Stalnaker

83, Peacefully entered heaven on Tuesday evening September 19th surrounded by her family at Willard Walker Hospice in Fayettevil­le, Ark.

She fought a courageous 8 year battle with dementia.

She was born in Pine Bluff, Ark., on October 23, 1939 to J. B. and Opal Hartwick.

Arlene was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Travis Hartwick.

She graduated from North Little Rock High School in 1957 and was a member of Sylvan Hills First Baptist Church.

She started her career as Secretary to the Insurance Commission­er of the State of AR. Later, she was one of the first employees of Heritage Publishing Co. where she became Vice President of Sales for many years.

She was a loving wife, mother, grand mother and great grand mother as well as a friend to many.

Arlene is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Cliff Stalnaker. As genuine soul mates they shared a beautiful life together. She is also survived by her son Todd Stalnaker, daughter Darbie Hedges (Stan). Grandchild­ren include Tyler Stalnaker and Lexi Martin (Caleb), Zach Hedges (Jessica) and Jacob Hedges (Christina) and great grand children, Maddox, Emery, Zealan, Roman, Elisha, Simon, Rhett and Benji.

In the midst of her battle, her love and gratitude displayed for her family remained unwavering.

Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, September 22, 2023 at Rest Hills Memorial Park in Sherwood.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the entire staff at Willard Walker Hospice Center for the exceptiona­l and compassion­ate care given to Arlene and the entire family.
