LONOKE — Daryl Wayne Clement,

82, of Lonoke, passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2023. He was born March 31, 1941, in Little Rock to the late Claude and Mary Rice Clement. Daryl was raised in Concord United Methodist Church and later became a member of Steel Bridge Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Claude, Jr. (June), Fred, Jimmy, and Lem Clement; as well as his son-inlaw, Billy Bob Bryant.

Daryl was a life-long member of the Furlow community in Lonoke. He loved farming, bailing hay, his cows, and his family (not necessaril­y in that order). He retired from his position as a District Manager for the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. He served as Justice of the Peace for the Furlow Township by both election and appointmen­t, as well as a term as a constable. He was proud of the life he and Shelby built together. It was a life full of love and contentmen­t. While his life was full of achievemen­ts, Daryl considered his four children to be his greatest success.

Survivors include his wife Shelby Jean Clement; children, LaCarol Clement, LaNette Bryant, Wayne Clement (Pam), and Wes Clement; grandchild­ren, Will Bryant, Mary Beth Bryant, Destiny Clunan (Trevor), Christian Caples, Jennifer Clement, Mason Clement, and Harper Clement; great-grandchild­ren, Emmilyn and Ariella Clunan; sisters-in-law, Rita Miller and Marilyn Miller, as well as numerous extended family members and friends.
