Best Urgent Care proud to serve people ‘where they live’
Baptist Health Urgent Care opened its first facility in December 2015. Now with 20 urgent cares open across the state and their mission to give patients quality and affordable care, it is no wonder the business has been named Best Urgent Care in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette’s readers’-choice awards.
“I think this may be our fifth or sixth year [winning Best Urgent Care],” said Mike Dupuis, vice president of Baptist Health Urgent Care. “It is a special accomplishment every time because we value our customers’ opinions.”
Dupuis said he thinks the urgent-care team’s ability to provide a great experience to patients every time they visit is what makes Baptist Health Urgent Care stand out as the best.
“[Our mission is] to serve our communities with the highest-quality, affordable and convenient urgent and family care, delivered by our exceptional and compassionate teams,” Dupuis said. “Our valued behaviors are integrity: acting in an honest and ethical way; service: providing patients with a ‘value’ experience; relationships: treating all individuals with dignity and respect; excellence: pursuing continual improvement in who we are and what we do; results: insisting on optimal performance; measurement: analyzing outcomes in everything we do; and communication: sharing information proactively.”
Dupuis said that he has been in the health care industry for more than 30 years.
“[I wanted to work in health care because of] my passion for helping people live their best lives,” Dupuis said.
He got involved with Baptist Health Urgent Care nine years ago.
“I was challenged with building and operating a new model of retail medicine known as urgent cares,” Dupuis said. “These medical clinics allowed large health care organizations to serve their communities ‘where they live,’ while helping ease the compaction within emergency rooms.”
Dupuis said the 20 Baptist Health Urgent Cares and their teams give back to their communities in several ways.
“Each of the 20 locations are members of their local chambers and, from time to time, sponsor events like fun runs, health fairs, athletic events, etc.,” Dupuis said.
He said his favorite part of working for Baptist Health Urgent Care is working with the most caring professionals in the state.
Baptist Health Urgent Care is open seven days a week, and all clinics are accredited by the Urgent Care Association.
“Each of our team [members] would like to thank those who voted for us,” Dupuis said. “We are humbled and greatly appreciate the recognition.”
