Three generations of caring for families and loved ones

-

For almost 150 years, Roller Funeral Homes have helped families across Arkansas grieve and celebrate the lives of their loved ones. Because of the care they take with the families they serve, Roller Funeral Homes was named Best Funeral Home in the Arkansas DemocratGazette’s Best of the Best readers’ poll.

“We are honored and very appreciative of the continued support our community shows us year after year,” said Renata Jenkins Byler, third-generation owner of Roller Funeral Homes, about the business being named Best Funeral Home.

Jenkins Byler said the mission of Roller Funeral Homes is to give special attention to details so families know they have made the best decision.

“I want [families] to feel at peace, knowing the right decisions are being made. I want them to feel like they have built a relationship with someone they can trust. I want them to feel that their expressed and unexpressed wishes are being cared for,” Jenkins Byler said.

“Our strong Christian values are at the core of how we live and operate daily,” she said. “Through that, we build trust, dignity, loyalty and integrity with our families, our co-workers and throughout our communities.”

Jenkins Byler said that one way Roller Funeral Homes excels is by helping families make end-of-life plans and decisions, including preplanning and caring for families’ grief needs after services.

Jenkins Byler said what she likes most about owning a business in the community is the closeness to everyone.

“Being a family-owned business makes us very close. When one cries, we all cry. When one succeeds, we all succeed,” she said. “That transcends to our communities. After a funeral service, we all just become one big family.”

Roller Funeral Homes is also very active in the community, including giving red ribbons to schools for drug-free awareness and supporting K9-officer funding and Little League Baseball teams and high school sports. The president and executive vice president of the company, along with Jenkins Byler, serve on boards and in government-appointed positions.

All 25 Roller Funeral Homes were recently awarded the National Funeral Directors Association Pursuit of Excellence award.

Jenkins Byler said that what she likes most about working in the end-of-life business are the people.

“I love people, and I love their stories,” she said. “I live to be able to help begin a healthy experience because grief is inevitable, and healing is possible through the right funeral home.”
