Pinnacle Hearing and its founder, Dr. Mary Chatelain, have been delivering hearing health care in Arkansas for more than a decade. This year in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette’s Best of the Best readers’ poll, the two have earned a double honor, with Chatelain named Best Audiologist and Pinnacle Hearing selected as Best Hearing Center.

“Being consistently recognized as the best in audiology and hearing health care is truly heartwarming,” Chatelain said. “Knowing that we’re making a positive impact on people’s lives and that they’re eager to share their experiences with others fills me with gratitude and joy.”

Chatelain said she founded Pinnacle Hearing in a single room in a friend’s medical clinic because she saw the need for professional hearing services and wanted to fill it.

“My practice soon evolved into a standalone clinic in Little Rock that is widely known for its give-back efforts,” Chatelain said. “Pinnacle Hearing has since grown to cover a wide swath of south Arkansas. … I am a dedicated advocate for improving the hearing of all Arkansans.”

Chatelain said Pinnacle Hearing’s giveback initiative has allowed its team to support public schools, law enforcement, first responders, churches and musicians, educating them on hearing conservation and providing devices to assist them. She said the center has also worked with rural hospitals to provide communities with vital hearing health care services.

“At Pinnacle Hearing, we focus on the education and awareness of hearing loss …, Chatelain said, “which serves as a powerful bridge connecting us with individuals from diverse backgrounds across the entire state.”

Chatelain emphasized Pinnacle Hearing’s longtime mission. “Our team is committed to utilizing the latest technology and advancements in hearing care to improve the quality of life for our patients,” Chatelain said. “We believe that when a patient can hear and interact with their loved ones, they are restored to full life.”

Another of Pinnacle Hearing’s aims is to focus on the services that make a difference for people who wear hearing aids.

“We help our patients become successful long-term users of hearing aids by giving recommended prescriptions specialized to their unique hearing loss and [providing] professional fitting, accurate diagnosis, thorough verification, detailed adjustments, in-depth counseling and accessible followup care,” Chatelain said.

When asked about her favorite part of being an audiologist, Chatelain was clear: “The most exhilarating aspect of my role at Pinnacle Hearing is the incredible bonds I’ve formed with both my patients and our remarkable team. Witnessing firsthand the transformative power of helping someone hear, which significantly enhances our patients’ daily lives, is an ongoing source of motivation that keeps us buzzing with excitement.”
