Physician provides timely, high-quality cardiovascular care

In a specialty where patients’ lives literally depend on the care they receive, Dr. Scott Davis at Arkansas Cardiology in Little Rock said his practice consistently focuses on putting the patient first while maintaining the highestquality cardiovascular care in the state.
“Not only is it important to provide highquality cardiovascular care, but it is also important to provide it in a timely fashion,” Davis said. ‘We strive to get patients seen as immediately as possible to address their cardiovascular needs as quickly and as efficiently as we can.”
Davis has once again been named Best Cardiologist by readers of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette in its Best of the Best competition.
“I have been fortunate to win Best Cardiologist several times in a row now,” Davis said. “I hate to admit I’m this old, but I think the first time was back in 2004! …
“It is always an honor to be recognized in your field, but the success of our clinic lies in a wonderful staff that goes out of their way to care for patients in a meaningful way.”
Davis then expounded on the details of that approach: “In trying to keep the priority of our patients at the forefront, we always want to treat each patient as though they were one of our family, but that doesn’t always mean we take the most aggressive approach. We try to tailor our treatment regimen to the immediate needs of each individual and not by some formula.”
And that distinction has helped determine the practice’s philosophy.
“Our mission at Arkansas Cardiology has always been to put the patient first …,” Davis said. “This philosophy is embraced by each of our staff.”
Davis said the clinic also strives to raise awareness about heart disease, which could involve discussing heart disease on television, recruiting volunteers for the American Heart Association Heart Walk or participating in a community health fair.
He said Arkansas Cardiology has always been on the cutting edge of the latest technologies and developments in cardiovascular disease.
“Whether it’s new treatments for rhythm problems, percutaneous valve procedures or new stent techniques, we have a solid group of cardiologists who are at the top of their field,” he said.
“For as much is I am intrigued by the latest technology, it is still all about the relationship with the patient,” Davis said. ‘I enjoy getting to know each of my patients personally and finding out not just about their heart issues, but also about them and their families.”
