Hines and her husband, Brandon Hines, founded the company in 2010. She said they both have engineering backgrounds — Kelly in electrical engineering and Brandon in mechanical engineering — and while they were getting their master’s degrees, they decided to build their own home. In doing that, they realized they had a love for the process and decided to make it their careers, give it a shot and run their own business, Kelly Hines said.
