Long-standing practice continues to improve patients’ quality of life

With more than three decades of providing cosmetic surgery to patients, Dr. Rhys Branman is one of the most highly regarded physicians in his field. A graduate of Vanderbilt University Medical School in Nashville, where he also completed his general surgery and residency training, Branman finished his American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery fellowship in 1998.
Branman was voted Best Cosmetic Surgeon in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette’s Best of the Best readers’ choice awards, and Exhale Med Spa, which operates within the Cosmetic Surgery Center, was voted Best Day Spa. It is familiar territory on both counts, as Branman has now won the award 11 times since 2010, and Exhale Med Spa has won five Best of the Best awards since 2018.
“It’s an incredible honor to be voted Best of the Best,” Branman said. “It validates all the good work that we’ve been doing. The team loves it as well because it says people notice and appreciate all of the work that they’ve done over the past year.”

is licensed in Arkansas and California. His stellar reputation earned him an appointment by Gov. Asa Hutchinson to the Arkansas State Medical Board in 2018.
Branman practices through the Cosmetic Surgery Center in Little Rock and maintains affiliations with Arkansas Surgical Hospital, Arkansas Heart Hospital and the Little Rock Surgery Center. He said the secret of success lies in the teamwork of the staff supporting him in his work.
“I want people to know that we’re a legacy practice that has been in the community since 1986,” he said. “People come and go, but how often do you see a medical practice in operation since the mid-1980s? That’s pretty rare.
“What we have done over the years is build a culture of customer service. We really care about our patients, and we work very hard to achieve the best results that we can possibly get for them. It is a total team approach.”
Branman said that while each client represents a new, exciting challenge, he is particularly honored to help individuals regain their self-confidence through reconstructive procedures to correct birth defects or following surgery or trauma.
“We do things that change people’s lives,” Branman said. “So many patients have come to us with a problem and later said, ‘I didn’t realize how it would change my life and my outlook on life.’”
