“JEFF,” went to be with the Lord Friday, October 27, 2023. He was born January 27, 1952, in Louisville, Miss., to the late Samuel J. Reynolds Sr. and Jimmie Doss (Childs) Horton.

In addition to his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by his brothers, David “Tom” and Jamie Reynolds.

A longtime resident of Jacksonvil­le, Ark., Jeff was a 1970 graduate of Jacksonvil­le High School (“Always a Red Devil!”). He was a devoted and loved USPS letter carrier in Jacksonvil­le for 33 years. He served in the U.S. Army from 1972 to 1974. After retiring in 2008, Jeff would often be found working at Simmons Bank Arena. where he enjoyed ticket-taking, ushering, and parking. Jeff enjoyed golfing with his retired buddies, numerous fishing trips to Gaston’s Resort, many camping trips with friends and family, volunteeri­ng, watching the Arkansas Razorbacks and Chicago Cubs, and was a lifelong member of Jacksonvil­le First Baptist Church. Above all, Jeff’s most cherished roles were husband, father, and grandfathe­r. He enjoyed retirement life with his wife, visiting his kids and grandkids, family vacations, and spending time with and helping extended family. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Karen Clark Reynolds; children, Jeff (Mary Ann) Reynolds of Garner, N.C., Amy (Shawn) Blair of Ward, Ark., Laura (Shannon) Saunders of Statesvill­e, N.C., and Tyler (Kelly) Reynolds of Oak Point, Texas; sister, Sue Reynolds of Bryant, Ark.; grandkids, Austin and Laney Reynolds, Autumn, David and Josh Blair, Grace, Greer, Greylynn and Gwendolyn Saunders, Jakob Reynolds, and Alyssa and Avi Smith; as well as a host of special nieces and nephews.

Memorial gathering will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at Jacksonvil­le First Baptist Church. Memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. at the church. Jeff will be privately laid to rest at Chapel Hill Memorial Park at a later date.
