POPLAR GROVE — Jean Richmond,

86, of Poplar Grove, Ark., passed away on November 11, 2023 in Jonesboro. Mrs. Richmond was born on March 19, 1937 to the late John Cleveland and Mamie Ruth (Ridge) Guthrie. She was the ninth of 10 children.

In 1956, Jean married Robert W. “Bob” Richmond. They were blessed with four children and she was a wonderful homemaker to her family.

A member of Calvary Baptist Church in Marvell, Jean’s faith in the Lord would take her through many seasons in her life until she was welcomed home by her Savior on Saturday while surrounded by her loving family.

Left to cherish her memory are four children, Vic Richmond (Jill) of Poplar Grove, Vince Richmond (DeAnn) of Fayetteville, Janine Dubach (Dan) of Marvell, and Rayna Bogue (Andy) of Madison, Miss.; nine grandchildren, Travis Bogue (Brittni), Laura Jill Shores (Dan), Ryne Dubach (Samantha), Case Richmond (Leslie Turner), Clay Dubach (Laura), Taylor Mathis (Josh), Taylor Pierce (Mark), Lane Richmond, MaryJohn Washispack (Ethan); seven great-grandchildren, Amelia Bogue, Mabel Bogue, Alex Shores, Kennedy Dubach, Baker Dubach, James Mathis and Maggie Mathis; a sister, Ruth Johnson of Jonesboro; and one brother, Kenneth Guthrie (Patty) of Forrest City.

Preceding her in death are her parents, John and Mamie Guthrie; four brothers; and three sisters.

A private graveside service for the family will be followed by a visitation for everyone from 3-4:30 p.m., Tuesday, November 14 at Bob Neal & Sons Brickell Funeral Home in Marvell.
