CHARLOTTE ALMA BUJARSKI HALTER,

-

of North Little Rock, Ark., born July 25, 1931, entered into heaven on December 6, 2023. She was a lifelong member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in NLR. She was the daughter of Frank and Emma Bujarski, also of NLR. Even though she was married to Paul David Halter for 52 years, they were sweethearts from a very young age, having attended St. Patrick School together since the first grade. She was the loving mother of Stanley (Judi), Paula Dempsey (Demp), Michael (Pam), and Mark (Tina). She was the loving grandmother of Joseph (Michelle), Matthew (Jamie), and Jeffrey Dempsey, and Stan Halter, Jr. (Amy), Sara Slettebo (Kelly), Sammie Perkins (Blake), and Regan Mariani, and Ian and Irene Rae, Jennifer Rae, and Julia and Jason Lewis. She was “G.G” to Jacob, Jai, Alexandra, Ajna, Jack, and Julia Dempsey, Franklin Perkins and Alexandra, Sebastian, and Robin Lewis.

Our mother was involved in everything throughout her whole life. She had several nicknames, such as Buji and Chocolate, aka Choc. She graduated from Mount Saint Mary in Little Rock, and was an avid cheerleader, basketball player, and on the homecoming court. She worked at the Johnston Agency and for many years at Ramsey, Krug, Farrell, and Lensing Insurance Agency. She and dad loved to dance, and once all the kids flew the coop, they became frequent country dancers, where they won many awards, including the National Senior Country Dancing competition. Mother also loved music and she played the organ at St. Patrick Church for decades until she finally had to give it up. She loved to travel, and she went on trips with AARP and took many cruises, even after dad died. She took up golf after retiring, so she could spend more time with our dad and friends. She was a frequent walker around the Lakewood Lake by her home, where she made even more friends. She had a wonderful infectious smile, which could light up any room, even the ICU in her last days.

She will be truly missed not only by her children, family and friends, but anyone she came in contact with as she had a most generous heart.
