also known as Ma, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2023, in Mayflower, Ark., at the age of 92.

Born on April 28, 1931, to the late Carl and Maggie Dycus-York, in Benedict Township, Ark. Jessie was a loving and devoted woman whose family was her passion.

Jessie was well-known for her love of cooking and baking, and her creations brought joy to the hearts and stomachs of her loved ones. She also had a talent for painting, gardening, canning, and sewing. Jessie enjoyed spending time attending church and reading her Bible, finding solace and inspiratio­n in her faith. She was adamant about reading and educating her mind on medical and health topics. Ma often reminisced about her younger days on the farm and by the river-side, cherishing the memories that shaped her. She also had a love for singing and dancing, always finding joy in these activities. Above all, Jessie cherished spending time with her family and creating lasting memories with her loved ones.

After a successful career at Kimberly-Clark, Jessie retired and dedicated her time to caring for the elderly, becoming a wellknown caregiver. Her compassion and selflessne­ss touched the lives of many.

Jones Hill Pentecosta­l Church and UPC in Mayflower were the places of worship where Jessie found solace and strength. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she found comfort in the teachings and community of these churches.

Jessie is survived by her beloved children, Larry (Phyllis) Green, Garry (Madeline) Green, Maggie Schulz, and Becky Green. She is also survived by her brother Glenn “Slim” (Bobbi) York and sister Ellen Crowder, as well as all of her cherished grandchild­ren, great-grandchild­ren and great-great grandchild­ren. Jessie was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Green, grandson, Jason Green, great-granddaugh­ter, Blakely Green, and five brothers.

In accordance with Jessie’s wishes, there will not be any formal services or visitation. She generously chose to donate her body to Science in the hope of helping others and cremation will follow.

Ma will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to family will forever be cherished.
