CHARLES ANDREW KING

passed from this life on Tuesday December 5, 2023 in Little Rock, Ark. He was born May 26th 1956 in Mt. Vernon, Ohio to Paul Andrew and Rita Walters King. Chuck is preceded in death by his parents, his stepmother, Elvira Desch King, his sister, Paula Ann King, and his beloved daughter, Della Rose King. Chuck is survived by his son, Andrew King (Sarah), his daughter, Rita King (Krystal Wood), his grandson, Owen King, the mother of his children, Betty Jo King, as well as by several cousins and dear friends. Chuck graduated Coldwater High School in 1974. He opened stores in St. Louis, Memphis, and Little Rock while employed by Famous Brand Shoes. The remainder of his career was spent in copier sales in Little Rock. Chuck was a parishioner of Christ the King Catholic Church where he volunteered as an usher. Through the years, he volunteered in several programs at his children’s church and school, and was “Mr. Chuck” for the Nursery 3 kids. Chuck most enjoyed spending time with family and friends, as well as getting out on the golf course. The delight of his later life was spending time with his grandson. Chuck never met a stranger, was an eternal optimist, and he brought an endless amount of love and joy to many people. The family will receive friends Friday, December 15, 2023, from 5:00-6:30 p.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church with a rosary following. A funeral mass will be held Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Christ the King Catholic Church beginning at 2 p.m. All floral arrangements may be sent to Smith Little Rock Funeral Home.
